Apart from the numerous weddings of alumni and staff going on outside the school, there were also a number of activities going on behind the walls.
The form four and class eights had their usual remedial classes offered for three weeks after doing their mocks, giving them a chance to catch up on what they might have missed in class. The Form 4s also used this time to practice on practicals in the labs, in preparation for
KCSE later on in the year. We wish all our candidates the best of luck in their exams.
A few musically inclined students drawn from Form 1 to Form 4 have been harnessing their guitar skills under the tutelage of
Ceaser Peraza. This activity culminated in a splendid guitar rendition during the holidays. An impressive number of parents and relatives attended this mini-festival.
Fifteen Form Two students have burned the midnight oil for the better part of the year working on the golden
Zilizopendwa tunes. This unprecedented activity was the brainchild and handiwork of the Astute Andrews: Andrew Ritho and Andrew Tumbo. On the 5th of September, the boys staged a breathtaking concert dubbed
Haiya. The concert was attended by about 100 people mostly parents and relatives of the singers. Due to public demand, the group will stage two shows for the students in the month of September.
The soccer clinic was also offered for both the primary and secondary sections in preparation for the soccer season which commences with the Team A and B facing RVA 'A' and 'B' on the 12th of September 2009. We wish the soccer teams the best of luck and victory...
The school, also undertook some delicate repair works on the basketball courts. These works and the face lift have given the courts a new lease of life, and a befitting gift to the basketball enthusiasts. In a few weeks, the staff, parents, and visitors to the school will be able to enjoy more parking space once the extension works to the parking area are complete...
