It was an all blissful and jubilant morning as Peter Mathenge Munene (Scholar of the Year F.4 1998) tied the knot with Lisa Anne Elvidge at the Don Bosco Shrine on Saturday 4th July 2009. We wish the newly weds all the happiness they can muster.

Sperling and McFie decorated by state

Prof David Sperling, founding Principal, and Dr James McFie (F6, 1964) were awarded the Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (E.B.S) and the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (M.B.S) respectively by President Kibaki on 12th December 2007. The awards were announced in a special issue of 'The Kenya Gazette' dated 11th December 2007.

The third of the Mwagonah's to pass through the gates of Strathmore - Emmanuel (F.4 1995) - on 16th August 2006 said "I do!" at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, South B. His vows were received by his bride Confred Ndunge Nzau (Connie) and witnessed by his family, friends and relatives including his father Mr. Matthias Mwagonah (F.6 1967, current Kiswahili teacher; pictured with wife and new couple) and former F.4 classmates Anthony Kahure and James Ohas.

First African priest of Opus Dei to be called to heaven after suffering a short illness. A Requiem Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Ndingi Mwana a' Nzeki on Saturday 9 September at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Basilica.

PAST STUDENTS : THE PASSING OF TERRY OCHIENG

On Wednesday 8 th February, Strathmore lost yet another student in the secondary section. Terry Ochieng', who had begun F.1 just barely 2 weeks earlier, passed on after a short illness. He is survived by two brothers (Keith (F.4 1996) and Nimrod (F.4 2001) both alumni of the school) and a sister.
