2026 County Games

This year, the school proudly participated in both the Nairobi Schools Secondary Sports Association (NSSSA) and the Kenya Junior Secondary Schools Sports Association (KJSSA) competitions, fielding teams across multiple disciplines.


NSSSA Competitions

Basketball – U19

The basketball team had an impressive run at the sub-county level, emerging champions in the Dagoretti North Sub-County tournament after victories against St. Mary’s, Dagoretti Mixed, State House Boys and Consolata School.

They advanced to the Nairobi West Sub-Region games, where they reached the quarterfinals but were knocked out after a strong contest against Upper Hill School.


Rugby – U19

The rugby team delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament.

They began in the Round of 16 with convincing wins over Jamhuri High School and Langata High School. Progressing to the round of 8. In their pool, Strathmore School defeated Nairobi School, Hospital Hill and Ofafa Jericho High School to secure a place in the semifinals.

In a thrilling semifinal match against Lenana School, the team clinched victory with a dramatic last-minute try. However, in the finals, they faced a strong Upper Hill School side and finished as runners-up after a hard-fought match.

Handball – U19

At the Dagoretti North Sub-County level, the team performed strongly, winning matches against State House Boys High School, Excellence School and Dagoretti Mixed to advance to the Nairobi West Sub-Region.

In the sub-regional stage, they secured victories across Westlands, Kibra, Dagoretti North, Dagoretti South, and Langata pools. Despite their strong run, they faced tough opposition in Hospital Hill and Shadrack Kimalel Schools and exited at the group stage.


KJSSA Competitions

Basketball – U15

The U15 basketball team showed great promise throughout the competition.

They won the zonal finals after competing against State House, Nairobi Primary, Kilimani Primary, and St. George’s Primary. At the sub-county level, they reached the finals but narrowly lost 16–15 to Gatina Primary.

In the sub-regional stage, they won both pool matches against Raila and Kinyanjui Primary Schools. However, they were unable to proceed to the Nairobi Championship due to sub-regional games requirements.


Rugby – U15

The U15 rugby team performed well in the sub-regional tournament, winning all their pool matches against Toi Primary, Kabiria Road Primary, and Ngei Primary.

They advanced to the quarterfinals, where they faced Ayany Primary School but were eliminated after a competitive match.


Summary

Across both NSSSA and KJSSA competitions, we demonstrated strong performance, resilience and sportsmanship. The standout achievement was the U19 rugby team finishing 2nd overall, alongside several teams reaching advanced stages in their respective competitions.
