The stage—and screen—came alive as the Strathmore School Media and Drama Club delivered an outstanding performance at the Nairobi Region Drama and Film Festival 2026.
Submitting five impressive film and media entries, the club proved that Strathmore’s excellence extends into the world of storytelling. From powerful documentaries to an engaging podcast, each production captured unique perspectives with depth, originality and technical skill.
The results unfolded like the credits of a successful production:
- Early Years Education Documentary – Runner-up
- Primary School Documentary – 4th Place
- Junior School Documentary – Runner-up
- Senior School Documentary – 5th Place
- Podcast on Career Choices – Position 1 (Headliner)
A standout highlight was the winning podcast featuring Yuri Troniak, whose charisma and insight resonated strongly with audiences and judges alike.
The documentaries combined compelling narratives with strong visual storytelling, while the podcast demonstrated confidence, clarity, and audience connection.
Three top productions—the Podcast, Early Years Education Documentary, and Junior School Documentary—have now earned the honor of representing Strathmore School at the National Drama and Film Festival in Nyeri this April.
From the camera lens to the microphone, Strathmore’s Media and Drama Club continues to prove that when creativity meets discipline, the result is nothing short of award-winning storytelling.
